Niko Devlin had risen to every challenge that the Imperial Avalonian Army had thrown at him, since joining to avoid jail time for beating a crime lord’s son. 

But war is hell and now Devlin must rise to a challenge possibly beyond his ability…training a bunch of jailbirds into a unit that His Majesty can use.  All the while dealing with heat from above and hostility from below. 

The Devil is once again calling the tune and Devlin has to sing along.
